Hello world!
As we walk ourselves to our knees into deeper muds of a new Millenium, experiencing events we never expected to have to deal with, we are also drawn closer than ever to our own future. The need to zoom down from global to individual goals and balance is inherent to all of us, wherever the world is going. This can be said after nearly two years of uncertainty and general unrest about Covid-19, and more so over its collateral effects on our daily lifestyles. Individual freedom submitted to being responsible and conscious citizens. This is also the first time humanity has experienced a pandemic counting on real-time global data, statistics and layered multi-media channels covering reports and analytics of the pandemic to the world, live.
It can seem naive and shallow to think about re-structuring our business or website through the turmoil our world is going through, especially relating to travel due to restrictions, and when we are indeed a travel organization. Responsibility being on all sides, and freedom on yours, we are choosing to follow all recommended measures of safety from social distancing, masking and limited quotas when indoors, using soap or sanitary gel to wash hands on every chance, and all of this is after travellers have had their due tests under 72 h ahead of travelling and are also cautious about wearing masks throughout the entire trip here, even outdoors if it is crowded. Anyhow, we aren’t changing our usual offer or style, rather coping with health and safety measures to be cautious. You may notice our offer is more clear and organised when visiting our home page (http://plans.alandalus-experience.com/ ), you may also notice THE NEW STORE!
We are opening an online store to be able to stay in touch during the travel downtime, and also to bring you closer to our daily reality here in Andalusia, Spain. Also to keep the vibe up, we are going to be visiting and practising with different local artisan workshops and make a blog update series on the work we are doing, and that which is done at our visited artisan workshops, mostly in Granada, Spain.
In case it is not obvious our idea here is to showcase local traditional artisans and their work, as well as learn from them and present our own collection of handmade items to the online store at shop.alandalus-experience.com
What do you think about this plan?
We are finally looking into offering some of our local teas and speciality coffee offers, amongst gourmet regional products like Spanish Saffron and Olive Oil through a ‘Herbs, Spices and Specialities” section of our store. What do you think? Do you buy in?
